The Long Lasting Benefits of Dental Bridges

A missing tooth or teeth can leave us feeling self-conscious and uncomfortable. A dental bridge is a great way get your smile looking and feeling normal again, but it also offers long term benefits for your other teeth and the bone health of your mouth. To sum it up, here are the advantages of a dental bridge:

Comfortable

The immediate and noticeable benefits of dental bridges have a direct impact on your daily life. The discomfort caused by missing teeth, such as difficulties in speaking or eating, can be alleviated by the long-lasting solution of dental bridges, providing lasting relief for over ten years with proper care.

Oral Health

Maintaining the natural alignment of your teeth and preserving your facial structure is crucial for optimal oral health. When teeth are missing, it can disrupt your bite and create space for neighbouring teeth to shift, leading to potential issues like decay, periodontal disease, jaw pain, and TMJ disorder. With a dental bridge, you can effectively prevent teeth from shifting, reducing the risk of these complications and ensuring a healthier and more harmonious smile.

Bone Health

By addressing missing teeth with a dental bridge, you can effectively slow down the rate of bone loss and preserve the surrounding tissues that provide crucial support for your teeth, ensuring a stronger foundation for long-term dental health.

The Cost Of A Dental Bridge In Barrie

The cost of a dental bridge can vary significantly from patient to patient, depending on various factors. With typical insurance coverage, a dental bridge typically ranges from $800 to $1200 or more. However, without insurance, a reasonable ballpark figure for a bridge would be around $2000 to $3000 or higher.

Several factors are taken into consideration when determining the cost of a dental bridge. Firstly, the type of bridge and the material used to make it can impact the overall expense. Different types of bridges, such as traditional, cantilever, Maryland, or implant-supported, come with varying costs. Additionally, the choice of materials, such as porcelain, metal, or porcelain-fused-to-metal, can affect the price.

During your free consultation with your dentist, they will thoroughly evaluate these factors and provide you with a detailed cost estimate that is tailored to your specific needs. This transparent approach ensures that you have a clear understanding of the expenses associated with your dental bridge treatment.

Remember, no dental practice can provide an accurate quote over the phone. Ultimately, your needs are as unique as your smile. It’s important to speak with a dentist and undergo an oral exam to find out all your treatment options and to receive an accurate quote. If you have dental insurance, we would be happy to supply you with a quote to submit to them so you can find out your out-of-pocket costs before you make a decision.

Walking in, I was greeted by two lovely ladies who were so pleasant & kind. Very welcoming environment. My fiancé had a different Dentist & Hygienist at his visit & he raved about his experience & how comfortable they made him feel which definitely eased my anxiety of going to a new place & feeling judged. My Dental Hygienist Heather was so informative & down to earth. She truly knows her stuff, gets to the point, & of course did a phenomenal job on my cleaning. She made me feel comfortable! The best experience I’ve had. They went through my X-rays which was honestly great, because I got an understanding of everything she was trying to convey about my cleaning which has never been done before in my past experiences. I didn’t feel judged at all which is always nice given that going to the Dentist can be intimidating. She’s hands down amazing at what she does. Mr. C was great too, dropped some knowledge & thoroughly communicated with myself & Heather about my oral health. It didn’t feel rushed, yet at the same time they got to the job done efficiently, given the time frame and expense. Great experience over all. We’ll definitely be back.

My experience was excellent. Sally gave me the most thorough cleaning I have ever experienced to date. She was very kind as I am a very, very fearful client and my anxieties were at a minimum. My only regret is that Dr. Kauldhar will not be able to do my upcoming dental work if I decide on the Root Canal as I have utmost faith in his work and I really fear not having the conscious sedation to which I am accustomed. However, whether it be regular filling or root canal, I will put my trust in the Eastview Dental team as a whole as soon as I decide. Marcia D'Antimo.
